Found eggs starting Sept. 4. Most of the caterpillars that hatched were put in shelter. In mid-Sept. found 69 caterpillars total in captivity and the wild. Lost some caterpillars to predation and disease. Lost some chrysalises to tachinids. Currently have 44 chrysalises. Expect eclosing to begin this week. This is the third batch of Monarchs this year.
