Saw a monarch at 12:22 pm fluttering along the banks of the Mississippi River, which has been planted with native species. There are still some asters and a little goldenrod in bloom there. I didn't see where the monarch landed, but it was heading south, toward the sun. 54 degrees and sunny, wind out of the NW, 12 mph.
