Every afternoon this week we have had a few monarchs drift in to roost for the night. We see them nectaring during the day on blue mist, lantana, and even turk's cap. They are really big and in good condition generally. Saw one yesterday that was a bit worn. This is the first year that I have noticed queens and a few painted ladies also roosting in the mesquites and hackberries.
