This is the second sighting of Monarchs making their way SW through Staunton,Va. The other was several of them heading the same direction a week or less earlier about a mile to the south of this location in the shopping center parking lot. I was able to clock his average flight speed of about 8-10 MPH across the lot using my car's speedometer!
