Elizaville, NY near the diner. One adult Monarch-like butterfly. It seems I have been seeing this butterfly for several days....either that or this place is in a corridor for individula Monarchs. I took several picts but none very clear or close up. But as best I can tell this is a Monarch and not a Viceroy. I took pictures of what is probably the same butterfly on Oct 7th and those pictures seemed to show more clearly it was in fact a Monarch. Please let me know if you disagree.
