Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/07/2017

Number: 42

Saw 8 monarchs on the wing in town and 34 nectaring on various garden flowers - lady-in-red salvia, Victoria blue salvia, asters, tropical milkweed and pineapple sage. They were so intent on feeding, I could pluck them off flowers. The alfalfa fields were flattened by last night's storms, so only found one nectaring. Temp. in high 70s, wind light out of the south.
