One female monarch drifted in on a North wind and seemed to be very hungry. She tried one hummingbird feeder but had trouble figuring out how to reach the sugar water, so I quickly switched to a different one. We still have a few tithonia and tropical milkweed in bloom, but the flowers have been going to seed after intense pollinating by the painted ladies. We don't have as many fresh blooms as usual. I'll be sure to keep some butterfly-friendly hummingbird feeders out.
