I watched 2 monarchs sipping nectar from 3-4 pm and a 3rd monarch flew into a nearby tree. It was 68, overcast and drizzling on & off. Twice during this hour, It drizzled heavily for about 5 minutes and the monarchs remained perched on zinnias. The monarchs were richly colored and for sure, one was male!
Additionally, I didn't released any monarchs during September.
