I spotted 2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds chasing each other and feeding on nectar plants in my yard on 10/7/17. The plant in the image is salvia elegans 'Pineapple Sage', a fall-blooming annual sage in SW Ohio. They were also visiting the blooms of iochroma cyanea, leonotis leonurus, cuphea 'David Verity'.and several other salvias.
