We have a red metal roof on our cabin. About 10 minutes ago, a monarch butterfly swooped the roof of the cabin over and over, then landing on a oak tree nearby, but too high up to get a picture. Over this last week in the Huron Forest, I have witnessed three monarch butterflies all in the neighboring area within 5 miles of Britt Road. Unfortunately, I was just too busy to report the other sightings at the time.
