Was outside for about ten minutes this morning and observed a significant increase in the number of Monarchs seen. The weather is clear with 10 mi. visibility; south wind at 7 MPH.
I think this is the start of larger numbers to come. They were flying but it looked as if they were going to cluster and form a roost.
This was not the case. Haven’t seen very many this morning, Oct 9 (three or four) and no clusters.
I’ll try to get you a photo when the numbers increase and I can get something a little more impressive
