Two males were nectaring since around 11am. Noticed one that was upside down a few inches from the zinnia flower. When I went to grab it I was surprised that it was in the grip of a Chinese Mantis. The mantis had eaten the head. Here is a picture of the 4 inch mantis. probably the same one I saw in April as 3/4 inch baby one.
