Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/08/2017

Number: 5

I've never seen so many so late in the year. Early morning I was the family of three that had been hanging around for several days. I think it is a family because they tolerate each other well, sometimes all three drinking on different feeders at the same time, and then all hang out in the same fir tree between feedings. They all left about 9am. Starting about 11:30 I saw a new hummer, then two fighting after noon. These two stuck around the rest of the day until dusk - definitely two new ones - both juvenile males (saw with binoculars), and don't tolerate each other - lots of fights. No momma; do juvenile males migrate by themselves?
