Elizaville, NY. Still in the midst of very warm weather, which has lasted well over a week now. One adult Monarch fluttering around the Elizavile pond and diner and deli around midday. I've been seeing an individual Monarch adult every midday at this site for several days now. It (or they?) rarely lands on any vegetation when I'm watching but also doesn't seem to be migrating yet...what I see is fluttering and circling around the span of an acre or two. Not sure if the remaining flowers have been harvested for nectar by bees already or are unappealing.
