Five (5) fifth instar caterpillars were sighted on tropical milkweed (Asclepias curassavica). Each was on a separate plant and had successfully hidden from being discovered until late this afternoon. What elusive beauties they are.

A picture of 1 of the 5 caterpillars is included. It is on a milkweed seed follicle, a favorite treat.
