I counted 9 monarchs driving from Baldwin, Kansas to Ottawa, Kansas. We were only able to tag 4 at one of our roost areas in the afternoon. Today we saw monarchs at various times through the day and counted about 40 as we were outside much of the time in Ottawa. We got to a roost spot late in the evening and tagged 9 near Princeton.
