I put fresh sugar water in my two small tube feeders this morning and when I got home from work I noticed the volume had gone down. Hmmm......... I think Hummers have been here! Just then I saw the most beautiful male I've ever seen. He began feeding at one of the feeders and then flew off to nectar on the Firebush blossoms (Hamelia patens). Glad I planted those Firebushes. I have several that are over 7 feet tall and boy! Are they hummingbird magnets!
