Sightings report image

Date: 10/10/2017

Number: 13

13 Monarchs seen this evening at the Tip at Point Pelee National Park. A few seen flitting about the Hackberry tree tips near the shuttle loop.
Others seen flitting around the Hackberry tree near the Dangerous Currents sign.
Another seen near the Tip flitting about searching tree tips & finally settled on a small Hackberry Tree right at West Path. She also flashed for me :) (photo)
No clusters seen.
Good news- the north wind today was kind enough to easily glide last night's 1800+ monarchs to the Tip, Canada's most southern mainland point & across Lake Erie to continue their journey south to Mexico!
Last one seen came in right at sunset ( 7pm)...which was amazing! 17°c & rain in the forecast for tonight & tomorrow.
