My husband and I have seen this female Hummer for several days. Originally on a very warm day 10/7 winds were high out of the south. The bird was at the feeder sitting there as if exhausted. Feeding and gradually got stronger. Since then everytime she is eating at the feeder she constantly beats her wings. Why is that? Not just today, with the chilly weather (which makes sense) but she's done this constantly even with 80 degree temps. Wondering if anyone could comment to this.
