Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/11/2017

Number: 1

For the last 6 days October 5th to the 9th there have constantly been 6-8 monarchs coming and going all day long.
Starting on August 3rd there were 2 or 3 per day until August 10 when there were 2 females here much of the day. I harvested 20 eggs. By the 15 th of September I had released 16 oe free monarchs ( 0 males and 8 females. 3 cats died at the point of hanging from a J. There was black liquid around. Another disappeared at the small egg stage, possible eaten by another. The rest were healthy and eager to take off.

Between the 10 th of August and 6 days ago, monarchs came daily. Whenever I went outside, there were usually 1 or 2
on the milkweed, echinacea, butterfly bush, monarda, and nastursiums.

Today is October 11th, and there are still monarchs nectaring, but more like 2 at a time. They seem to always be there. I don't really know if they are the same ones or if they are coming or going, as we've had a death in my family, and I've been unable to do more than observe as I go in and outside.
Sorry,
I just wasn't able to do more than to write a summary this year.
