I began gathering the caterpillars from milk week on our farm, collected approx. 35 and released approx 30 butterflies. The last one was released around Sept 28th. Still seeing monarch butterflies on October 10th. Did not know about the tags until tonight after watching the Flight of the butterfly. I have found myself fascinated by the history of the Monarch and the migration. Have started a butterfly garden this fall and will continue to grow it bigger come spring.
