Four (4) monarchs were in the garden from early this morning (despite the 52 degree temperature) until sunset nectaring on tropical milkweed (Asclepias curassavica), blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum and Conoclinium greggii) and tall verbena (Verbena bonariensis). The monarch pictured was enjoying the nectar from one of the Conoclinium greggii plants.
