The hummingbird here yesterday appears to have moved on. I had one brief visit from a very inexperienced hummer who had difficulty figuring out how to nectar from my red mandevilla flowers. It kept trying to perch on the blossoms while attempting to feed from them. It finally tried feeding by hovering in front of my streptocarpella flowers, with much better results. After perching on a mandevilla vine and resting a bit,the hummer flew off. This was the only sighting that I had today.
