Discovery Charter School has sent 15 ambassador butterflies to Mexico! Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade decorated butterflies and sent messages of appreciation for monarchs and gratitude to people in Mexico for caring for the butterflies during the winter. We have a small butterfly garden at school and enjoyed finding caterpillars, chrysalises, and adult monarchs among the milkweed and other native plants this year. We wish the butterflies - both real and paper - a safe journey!
