It was exciting to see so many Monarchs at once in my yard fueling on my wild Asters. The last few years, I only spotted a 2 at one time and took photos then, but today was able to get a few together in some photos. My neighbor has some Milkweed, so maybe that enticed the group at first, but and they stayed in my yard for a few hours. I couldn't take my eyes off of them and they let me get quite close. Some look worn, with some creasing in their wings, faded color, and bodies that seemed flat. Others were vibrant orange or hues of yellow orange. It was my favorite spotting of them ever. I hope they'll be back tomorrow.
