Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/13/2017

Number: 6

It got warmer today around 90 degrees & sunny. I have been studying the difference between the Monarch, Queen and also the Viceroy butterflies as they have similar coloration. We did have 6 Monarch's today male & female. My Mexican Sunflowers are dying back from mites & whiteflies this season & the garden flowers are slowing down production even though I have been de-heading blooms & watering when in drought. I noticed a huge difference in bloom production of our perennial plants since I stopped feeding them. But this week has been a great week for butterflies.
