Approximately 11:30 on our way to the Humane Society on Provincial Road in Windsor, travelling west on Highway 401 between exit 21 and exit 14 saw 10 Monarchs flying south over the highway in 5 minutes! Sunny, warm, humid 21C with a moderate wind. Upon leaving at 12:40 the winds had picked up and sun was gone. We saw a further 4 on the drive home but all were nectaring mainly on Red Clover in various spots along the way (Provincial Road, entrance to 401 at exit 14, Manning Road (exit 21) None in flight. One at home at County Road 46 and Manning. See report for October 15.
