Three (3) monarchs arrived in the garden today. We had a cold start this morning due to a 45 degree overnight low; the high was 68. We began the day with a slight breeze from the north at 3 mph. Around midday it shifted to the SSE. It remains so at 5 mph.
The monarchs sailed into the garden around 10:00 am and remain feeding as of the time of this writing at 5:30 pm. They have primarily fed on tropical milkweed and penta flower nectar. One of the 3 is pictured on a red penta bloom.
