We’ve had smoky skies from the terrible fires inland so it’s been tough to be outside and looking for Monarchs. Paul took this photo in Gualala.
October 16: Yesterday, Oct. 15, the winds shifted a bit and we got smoke from the fires. Rain is forecast for Thursday, Oct.18. I looked out the window an hour ago and a Monarch fluttered by. I wonder how the smoke affects butterflies....
