Signs of Fall

Date: 10/17/2017

Number: 1

Hello bird people. Saw something a bit unusual today. A gulf fritillary butterfly in my garden. The intense orange of its wing stood out among the more subdued orange of the painted ladies. What a rare treat! On the 14th I saw two hummingbirds in my garden, have not seen any sense then. Lots of Tennessee warblers flitting through the trees. Starting to see larger flocks of ducks and geese heading south. Good birding to all.
