Over the past month I have reported several sightings of westward-bound Monarch butterflies that I have observed when working out on the ramp at the University Park Airport in State College, PA.   Today I made another such observation (at lat 40.8513° and long -77.8504°).   At about 11:55 AM (10/17/2017) I watched a Monarch butterfly heading southwest, fluttering by the south side of the terminal, staying no more than 36 feet from the terminal and no more than 26 feet above the ramp.

At the time of this observation the sky was clear and sunny with:

• Dew point   35.6°F
• Relative Humidity   51%
• Pressure   30.34 inches
• Wind   from the WSW at 5.8 mph
