We had planned to plant the Red Emperor tulips a few weeks ago, but our area is experiencing mandatory water restriction due to low rain and unseasonably warm temperatures. We had a frost this morning and so needed to get the bulbs in the ground to give them six weeks before the frost. Bulbs were planted 7 inches deep and 4 inches apart.
