In Austin, on October 9, I purchased three milkweed plants on which I had seen a Monarch laying eggs (in a nursery). Got them home, and watched the eggs. Brought those I could see in the house and now hopefully will help 10 (1 - 3 instar) caterpillars go through their journey. Thankfully, I still have a few milkweed plants outside so I can keep them fed!
