A female monarch visited us today at just before noon. She was nectaring on butterfly bushes along with 8 painted ladies. At 2:30 p:m a male monarch also joined the group and both monarchs were still here at 6 p:m as it was starting to become dark. The high today was about 20C with winds from the SW gusting to almost 40kph.
