At Elizaville, NY. One adult male Monarch flying south along the bank of the pond near the Elizaville Diner and then rising over the bank and flying in front of the diner and deli, stopping to draw nectar from flowers at several points, including those in hanging baskets in front of the deli. I have observed Monarchs taking this route several times over the past week or so at midday.
