Was feeling so good about Journey North migration reports from the plains states and those from Texas until I checked the large and late number of monarchs still migrating in or near Canada. With Minnesota being a Great Lakes state and with NW winds gusting to 40+ mph reminded me of the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald when the gales of November came early. Yikes, go monarchs!
