Our back yard was inundated today by Gulf Frittalaries in numbers never before witnessed. There were as many as 4-5 on every plant in the garden at one time. They seemed to arrive with a cool front that came thru, pushed along by northerly winds in the range of 15-20MPH. They were fun to photograph and seemed most attracted to red pentas for nectaring.
