Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/23/2017

Number: 3

Today we had a fire drill. During that drill we were instructed to walk down to the Fire Station. While on that walk we saw three monarch butterflies. It was a sunny day and the temperature was about 70 degrees. One of the butterflies flew right in front of us. It was about 1.5 feet away when we snapped this photo with a cell phone. While we know it looks like the butterfly is on the walk way, it isn't.
