Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/14/2017

Number: 1

July 14 - July 18 we had a male monarch that patrolled our butterfly garden from dawn to dusk. He would not let any other monarchs into the garden. He chased away both males and females. He tried to chase me out too but he was unsuccessful. On July 18 I captured the male butterfly and released him in a nearby park. Within 2 hours I had females laying eggs in my garden.
