This is the first hummingbird we have seen in our yard since 22 October 2017 (and before that 15 October 2017 - we seem to be down to once a week). It nectared from the pink guara in deck baskets after spending a little time near a HummBlossom saucer feeder before flying off. The attached video was captured by our motion-activated Blink outdoor camera at 736am, just minutes before we spotted it on the pink guara. We then saw it (or one that looked just like it) about an hour later on our glass and plastic tube feeder on our front porch (same type of feeder as in the attached video). This is the latest we have seen hummingbirds in our yard in the fall (in 2014 the last sighting was around 4 October, in 2015 the last sighting was around 21 September, and in 2016 the last sighting was around 24 September). Starting in Spring 2017 we added a lot of year-round blooming plants that hummingbirds like, and those plants are blooming now.
