Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/11/2017

Number: 5

This was spectacular to me...I've never seen them fly overhead high in the sky. It was a cloudy day, but about 73 degrees.
I had just seen (6) Monarchs on the neighbor's Butterfly Bush. I drove 1/4 mile to my house.
When I got out of the car, I saw 2-3 monarchs high up in the air! Two of them started to dance in a circle, way up against the gray clouds, and then they quickly flew behind the tall trees nearby.
...It was Adorable!
Another Monarch came low to me,as if to say thank you, and "bye". :) ...Maybe he was one that I let go last week?
And then he headed beyond the tall trees too. And also the same happened with 2 more of them. It was Truly a lovely experience! ..seeing them happy in the wild, and seeming to know what they are doing, and together! :)
I most often see them having their first flight; not travelling together like this. :) :)
It was a breezy day... maybe they were heading towards Hawk Mountain or the Appalachian Trail?
