Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 11/03/2017

Number: 1

For those of you that I still see photos now of hummingbirds sitting on feeders look closely for orange flecks of feathers. AND DO PUT SUGAR WATER IN FEEDERS that look empty in you photos. Rufous will stay and can take cold weather.
I have seen a hummingbird fly in and roost in the River Birch tree twice right before dark. I do get up right before light to see it fly out but am missing it. If it is a Rufous that over winter here, they are very hard to spot when it's warm in the high 80's lately.
We have a hawk, and
Rufous absolutely will not nectar in our garden or feeders.
