Monarch Adult Sighted

A beautiful female is tanking up this morning on my Tithonia. I thank the Lord I didn't chop it down, though it did suffer a little from a hard frost 3 days ago. She looks strong. I hope she makes it to Mexico! If she makes good headway on the warm wind that we have, she may find more to eat further south. There is very little to nectar from around here. I have Tithonia and some morning glories. Neighbors have little more than chrysanthemums. This is the problem with such a late migration. We have already had several frosts which did a number on the flowers. Godspeed to all Monarchs!
