I was so surprised to see a single monarch butterfly flying along quite high above the waters edge of Lake Wallenpaupack! I thought it was a leaf at first, but quickly realized it was a monarch! I watched it for about 2 mins before it had traveled too far for me to see. It was heading south on a above-normal-temperature day, in the sixties. This little girl or guy really needs to hurry south as colder weather will be moving in, in a few days. Safe travels little one and may you find nectar and good winds in the days and weeks to come!
