Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 11/04/2017

Number: 9

I'm just blown away by the fact the monarch caterpillars are still alive and eating some pretty sorry looking milkweed. We're back up to a count of nine now of various sizes as I found another plant in the pumpkin patch with smaller caterpillars than the previous bunch. A low temperature of -1.8C was recorded on our digital thermometer overnight and there was a frost on the ground when we went out before 7:00 this morning.
