Tulips PLANTED
Sightings report image

Date: 11/08/2017

Number: 22

Today the 22 students of the Oak Room planted tulips in 3 locations that we can observe from our classroom window. The weather was sunny and 45 degrees F, although last night was a hard frost. We still saw evidence of frost in shady spots. Before digging we noticed bicycle tracks in the grass where kids take short cuts to school. While digging we saw earthworms and tree roots. After digging our shoes were very muddy! Many cars passed by while we worked. We were happy to return to the warm classroom.
