A definite hummingbird not seen, has been here to 2 feeders draining the smallest tube feeder, and half of small disk feeder.
This is for Gesine in ON,:
Can you tell us what species of sub adult hummingbird you have sitting on that round flower stake? That goes to pineapple sage etc., and not to feeder it sits by.
Hummingbirds that come thru in Houston don't leave if molting or don't have enough body weight to migrate further down.
They go into a stupor when cold staying in your maple tree for example as Rufous do over wintering here.
Don't worry, she should be ok.
