Came home from work to find a newly eclosed female on her chrysalis. She flew to a pine in the yard where there was at least 5 more monarchs. One male quickly coupled with her and another (battered and rangy looking) male tried to get in on the action. the male she mated with had a perfect circle where a tag would normally be located. still warmish here, low 70's and mid 40's at night. still lots of lantana for nectar.
