Dennis M. Forsythe reported to Carolinaleps listserv that he spent 1/2 hour around the Japanese Loquat tree at the marine lab at Ft Johnson from 11-11:30 and saw 25 monarchs, including many in the air about the tree. Also 1 with tag on left wing but could not read the number.
