Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 12/07/2017

Number: 1

Monarch was on the ground and not moving yesterday. It was and still is cold and rainy. I placed the butterfly in my green house which I keep around 55 degrees Fahrenheit for my plants. In November when all the Spanish Needle is in full bloom and our Loquat Trees are starting to bloom that is the only time I see Monarch Butterflies. I have seen up to 20 on one tree some days. This year the Loquat tree is blooming a little late. By December they are usually finish blooming. They fly into my yard high and from the south. They stay in the top of the trees that is probably why I just started noticing them this year and last year.
